Ron Dalton live at P&G
Concert Series
I enjoy going out to see other local musicians almost as much as playing. (You know this is a spectator sport as well) I thought it might be nice to share my concert experiences with the rest of you. If you know of a local musician concert I should go to just drop me a line. Just "Click" on the picture to go to the article.

Musicians from the Northwest
Here it is. My ever-growing list of performing Singer/Songwriters who inspire me. Many of these musician I can truly say are freinds and have played an important role in my pursuit of artistic expression. There is no particular order to this list and the pictures are the link to their websites. If there are any corrections on this list please let me know so that I can do my freinds the justice they deserve. Just "Click" on the picture to go to their Website
MJ Bishop MJ Bishop – The smooth flow of Scotch and the sparkle of Soda. MJ has a richness in her voice that reminds one of a sultry humid night when the sun has just slipped beyond the horizon and anticipation takes hold. Yeah Scotch and Soda, boy do I feel high...

Rebecca Cohen Rebecca Cohen –A Voice as long flowing multi-colored silk waving in the breeze gently flowing up and down as the wind rises and falls. Her voice and selection of songs beckon you to join in. I found myself wanting to harmonize on every song she sang.

Deb Seymour

Deb Seymour – If Deb were a bottle of fine wine you would not need an abundantly discriminating palette to catch her bold sophistication with that hint of smooth Swingtown saunter. Truly a rare vintage and appropriate for any and all special occasions. When she starts stompin' with her "Debonairs" the party is in full swing as the Deb Decantur pours with her refreshing style. Deb folds her intelligent lyrics with a full bouquet of quick wit and well crafted chording. Deb setup my very first performance and continues to support other musicians in so many wonderful ways. Deb is an award winning Songwriter. More than just a pretty label.

Jim Nason JIM NASON – Pour in a cup of ‘Mose’ syrupy satire; bend in a scoush of Redbone layback swang; mix in a pint of Kottke pickin’; swirl in a little Muppet ‘Animal’ headbob then bake in the heat of an honest open heart and you’ll enjoy a meal that sticks to your ribs. Mama never cooked like this!  Dubbed the 'Emergency Folksinger' Jim is a talented player and a joy to watch. He is the Gibralter in supporting and nurturing local talent in the Northwest. Nothin like down home cookin. Burp!

Eva Tree Eva Tree - If you have ever started with a plain piece of paper and folded and folded it again and again until finally you have created a delicate paper crane, you may begin to understand the origami precision she uses to take a simple note and release it in flight lifted by the splendor of her smooth endlessly effortless voice. Her every gesture is focused of pulling out every ounce of vocal energy during her performance.. Look for her new CD in January 2006.

Wes Weddell Wes Weddell - A quick wit, with a guitar. A dangerously mind-altering combination. His Guthrie-est songs are reminiscent to 'the rest of the story'.

Christie Aitkin

Christie Aitken - Solid Songwriter and a wonderful voice reminecent of Carly Simon. She knows how to work that guitar as well as her Uke. She must be close on the CD and I'll be first in line to get mine.

Matt Price Matt Price – Understated yet powerfully insightful. You can use this to describe Matt, his songcrafting, his fingerstyle playing, his vocal quality and the open page honesty he writes with. I wore out his CD. Need I say more? If you haven't heard him yet you're missing out on a rare treat.

Michael Guthrie

Michael Guthrie – If you have ever gone to the river on a hot summer afternoon, tossed in that old patched-up inner tube, attached the tow line of brews, and drifted downstream, then you can appreciate the smooth effortless ease in Michael’s music and performances. From blues to bluegrass, jazz to gypsy, it's his grooves like small whirlpools that will bend your mind. Wonderful Instrumentalist with a refreshing honesty in his words. He is a true renaissance man and a leader in fostering 'community'.  I’m proud to say Michael has influenced my music.

Steve Wacker Steve Wacker -What a story teller. Powerful performance of his music. Get his new CD.

Mike Pryor Mike Pryor - A gifted wordsmith with a natural wit. Mike writes some of the smoothest melodies I've heard recently. If thats not enough wait till you see and hear him live!

Emeral City Jug Band Emerald City Jug Band - Foot stompin' fun by four. Their live performance is a memorable experience you will talk about long after.

Larry Murante Larry Murante - Rich butterscotch voice and a songwriting talent that gives us all something to strive towards.

Katie Davis Katie Davis - Stunning voice drenched in rich emotion that will leave you wanting more.

Alex Perlman

Alex Perlman - Gifted writer and performer. Alex CD is a piece of art waiting for you to turn on the switch and behold the splender.

Kathryn Mostow Kathryn Mostow - A Voice that will melt the shell that you thought protected you from being touched so tenderly.

National Artists
Michael McNevin Michael McNevin - What a story teller. One of the best songwriters I have heard. He has a voice that adds sincerity to each line.

Joe Jenks Joe Jencks -Joe is a singers' singer. A combination of pipes, polish and presence. Did I mention an award winning songwriter?

Joe Crookston Joe Crookston - First time I heard his CD I almost had to pull over just to allow it to sink in. A must for any collection and a wonderful person.

The Weepies The Weepies - Deb Talen and Steve Tannen. I first heard their music on AcousticOI Radio and fell in love with this dynamic songwriting duo. Caught their performance when they came to Seattle and was blown away by the carisma and talent.
